Bringing Realism to Air and Sea with Animation and Rigging
State of Happiness is a compelling drama that explores the impact of Norway’s oil boom. In Season 2, the series expands its scope with intense sequences set above and below the ocean, requiring precise and realistic animation to enhance the cinematic experience.
Imaginary Globe contributed to this season by handling the animation of the helicopter flying above the ocean towards the oil rig, as well as the rigging and animation of the submarine. Our goal was to ensure that both elements moved naturally and integrated seamlessly into the show’s dramatic visuals.
Animating the Helicopter: Dynamic and Realistic Flight
⦾ Precision in flight dynamics – Ensuring realistic rotor movement, weight shifts, and wind resistance as the helicopter traveled over open waters.
⦾ Oceanic environmental interaction – Simulating the way wind and air pressure influenced the helicopter’s movement above the waves.

Rigging and Animating the Submarine
